Up to £25 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their team of staff in the Dermatology Unit      

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates advanced problem solving and decision making skills supported by the use of evidence based and/or best practice.
  • Ability to assimilate large quantities of information quickly and accurately and communicate it clearly.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Able to use information technology and communications equipment efficiency.
  • Able to under pressure whilst maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to support and enthuse
  • Energetic, proactive and driven to succeed.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
  • Results driven, possessing a proven track record of delivering against targets.
  • Able to make judgements involving complex facts or situations which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.
  • Strong interpersonal skills:
  • Able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels across the hospital, deploying a range of techniques to do this effectively.

Duties of this role include: 

  • Provide direct expert professional clinical care through health assessment, initiation of treatment, formulation and alteration of treatment and monitoring of care programmes.
  • Facilitate the development of clinical practice through research and education of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Evaluate care through quality assurance initiatives and assessment of clinical outcomes
  • Be an expert resource for other healthcare practitioners
  • Ensure that the highest standards of clinical care are delivered
  • The post holder will ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence
  • The post holder will provide specialist clinical leadership within this area of care and will lead and develop specialist education Key Areas Communication & Relationships Skills Provides and receives highly complex, sensitive or contentious information, barriers to understanding
