Circle Health Group has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team of staff working on the hospital Oncology department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing. Or
- Registered Nurse Level 2 - Relevant Competencies for the role.
- Surgical oncology experience i.e. post-operative care
- Willingness to develop or already hold:
- Breast care course / module
- Lymphodema management course
- Advanced communication skills
- Teaching experience
- Audit experience
- Excellent organisation and multitasking skills required.
- Understanding on workload and shift management.
- Patient and caring approach to customer care
Duties of this role include:
- Required to work closely with both Medical and Surgical Oncologists
- Prepare and maintain clinical records of patient care, with reference to Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for records and record keeping.
- Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
