We have an opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Pharmacy department.

This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours a week. We welcome applications from candidates with experience working in the secondary care or primary care sector (including community pharmacy).

Applications from newly qualified pharmacists or overseas pharmacists who have received their GPhC registration are also welcomed.

Training on our pharmacy IT programme will be provided upon the commencement of the role. Applicants with a community pharmacy background will be given a comprehensive induction into hospital pharmacy.

There will also be an opportunity to enrol to relevant post-graduate clinical training.

There will be no on-call commitments.

What we are looking for:

  • A GPHC Registered Pharmacist.
  • An enthusiastic professional who is looking to develop their clinical skills and experience.

Duties of this role include:

  • There is currently no dispensary on site and you will be supported by two part-time pharmacy technicians. You will be required to provide an efficient, professional and flexible clinical pharmacy service to all patients, staff, consultants and customers.
  • You will be required to provide pharmaceutical expertise and input into the care of patients, and to supervise the procurement, distribution and supply of medicines within the hospital.  
  • We welcome applications from candidates with experience working in the secondary care or primary care sector (including community pharmacy). Applicants with a community pharmacy background will be given a comprehensive induction into hospital pharmacy.
