We have an opportunity for a Dietician to join their team of staff.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • BSc Dietetics or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian Member of the Health & Care
  • Professions Council
  • Documented Evidence of Continual Professional
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • Must have bariatric experience.

Duties of this role include:

  • To act as a source of expertise and training in the dietetic care of patients, medical staff and other health professionals and will support the nursing teams.
  • To provide dietetic support to patients, both in and out-patients.
  • To manage a caseload of people who have complex needs within the in-patient setting using evidence-based, person centred principles to assess, plan and evaluate specialist dietetic interventions.
  • To provide the dietetic input within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Working in liaison with the catering providers to ensure that the menus provided offer a balanced diet and supplementary diet were required and the menus reflect the choices of the people accessing services.
