Up to £11.50 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Endoscopy Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  •  Basic and advanced Competence / qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
  • Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
  • Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01 -06).
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.

Duties of this role include: 

  • Actively assist in the organisation of care provision within the Endoscopy Unit. Provide quality planned preparation of the endoscopes prior- during- and after endoscopy lists.
  • Provide safe high quality scope preparation.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Prepare endoscopes on a continuing and high quality decontamination bases to ensure smooth running of the endoscopy lists.
