We have an opportunity for a Graduate Physiotherapist to join their team of staff.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Chartered Physiotherapist.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
  • Degree level educated, or equivalent.

Duties of this role include:

  • To work as an independent Graduate Physiotherapist MSK clinician in the multi-Disciplinary Team of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Sports Therapists MSK Podiatrists, Occupational Hand Therapists, nurses, and Doctors
  • To undertake comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, including routine MSK presentations and those for people with complex biopsychosocial needs
  • To screen for sinister red flag pathologies and to act upon these in a safe, timely, and evidence-based manner
  • To use sound clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of best current clinical and evidence-based practice to form accurate diagnoses, management plans, and prognosis
  • To escalate patient care through appropriate pathways when it becomes apparent further clinical investigation or intervention is required according to agreed service pathways
  • To communicate effectively and professionally with patients and medical colleagues regarding assessment, management and treatment choices
