We have an opportunity for a Hotel Services Manager to join their team of staff in the Hotel Services department.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good Communication skills essential
  • Associated qualification in hospitality services
  • Maths, English and IT GSCE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems

Duties of this role include:

  • The Hotel Services Manager is focused on the provision of the hospitality services within the hospital, ensuring the service provided to patients, visitors, and consultants, is of high quality.  This includes the direct management of the Portering service and Housekeeping service within the hospital.  In addition, the Hotel Services Manager must work with the catering providers, to deliver the highest standards and ensure that costs are managed in line with budgeted agreements, for example, on free issues.
  • The Hotel Services Manager plays an active role within the hospital management team, attending required hospital management meetings, and working with departments and key contacts to ensure the hospitality service within the hospital meets expectations.  They also support the Director of Operations in the delivery of the non-clinical objectives for the hospital.
  • Supporting and managing the Portering Lead/Porters to ensure the delivery of the Portering service within the hospital, including patient, equipment, and goods (e,g, pharmacy goods) movement, guidance provided to patients, visitors, and families, gas cylinder usage, where appropriate, the security of the facility, and any other relevant Portering duties are delivered effectively
