Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Up to £38,500.00 per year
(depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans to promote independence and participation in daily life. 
  • Work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, and other allied health professionals to support integrated care and safe discharge planning. 
  • Support timely and safe discharge by assessing home environments and making recommendations for equipment, support, or adaptations. 
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in line with HCPC and organisational standards. 
  • Maintain professional registration and complete relevant CPD activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills. 
  • Assess and prescribe assistive devices, splints, or environmental modifications to support functional independence. 

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist. 
  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification. 
  • Experience working in a clinical rehabilitation, acute, or community setting. 
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and planning skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
