Up to £38,750 per year

We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse - Diploma, BSc 

  • Willingness to develop or already hold:

    SACT passport and or SACT post graduate degree 

  • Oncology/Hematology Experience essential

  • Experience in Pre-chemo assessment, chemotherapy delivery and new patient consultations

  • Post graduate breast care or hematology an advantage

  • Advanced communication skills an advantage

  • Time management and organisation skills essential 

  • Patient centred approach

  • Able to work as part of a team and also autonomously

  • Excellent documentation skills essential

  • Venepuncture, cannulation, CVAD access all requirements of the role.

  • Training can be provided to progress to CNS role.

  • Macmillan funding for training once adopted.

  • Access to training courses through Macmillan.

Duties of this role include:

  • Required to work closely with Oncologists
  • Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
