We have an opportunity for a Quality Improvement Lead to join our team of staff.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience working at a senior level.
- Valid healthcare professional registration (NMC or HCPC)
- Qualifications in quality improvement to at least practitioner level.
- Experience of teaching and coaching teams/individuals to support the best outcomes.
- Knowledge of improvement methodologies such as Model for Improvement, collaboratives, Lean etc.
- Evidence of applying quality improvement tools (e.g. PDSA cycles, driver diagrams, process mapping) in a range of contexts.
- Evidence of building effective working partnerships with stakeholders across a complex organisation/system.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation, working to tight deadlines and often changing priorities and timescales.
- Experience of driving improvements and managing large scale change in a complex organisation (e.g. health and/or social care).
Duties of this role include:
- You will be responsible for the development of quality improvement initiatives and practice, which supports the clinical strategy including the quality improvement and patient experience strategies.
- You will lead on specific Group-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development and implementation of good practice to improve the quality of care and patient experience.
- You will work in collaboration with the group clinical team to assist in driving sustainable improvement and excellence in the safety and quality of care and services.
- You will work closely with the Group Clinical Director and Director of Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement in reviewing hospital clinical governance reports and identifying and facilitating areas for improvement.
- You will participate in peer reviews and facilitate identification of areas for quality improvement and taking forward initiatives in response to audit programme and surveillance audit outcomes.
- You will support all facilities in demonstrating innovation in ensuring they meet (and exceed) all regulatory standards and in preparing for any regulatory (or other external) inspections, accreditations and self-assessments (CQC/HIS/HIW).
- You will identify opportunities to develop quality and innovative initiatives that encapsulate Circle’s quality strategy – moving ‘beyond compliance', and implement systems that facilitate Group-wide feedback, learning and sharing of best practice.
- You will co-author the annual Quality Account and the ongoing review of progress of the identified annual quality priorities, and support Circle in demonstrating that quality is integral to the effective delivery of its services.
