Circle Decontamination - Stockport

37.5 Hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £31,662.50 per year

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across the Southeast of England. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Lead to join their team of staff in the Decontamination site.

This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems and intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, schedules, set goals/objectives.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment of change.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary risk management strategies that are effective ion promoting and ensuring high quality patient care
  • Excellent understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement principles
  • Knowledge of CQC/HIS/HIW inspection programs
  • Qualifications in a Health-related discipline
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and applications
  • Experience of working in the healthcare industry
  • Previous experience in a governance or risk management or contracts
  • Complaint management experience
  • Experience with giving presentations
  • Experience in leading groups and projects.
  • Experience in facilitating change and adopting new concepts
  • Experienced in undertaking complex incident investigation including root cause analysis

Duties of this role include:

  • Champion and raise awareness of the benefits of effective governance and implement strategies to increase the knowledge of service staff of quality processes and regulatory requirements
  • Support the Head of Integrated Care Governance to co-ordinate and further develop the service’s clinical governance activities, policies and systems
  • Line manage the Quality and Assurance Facilitators in Circle integrated Care
  • Support the contacts team with meetings for sub-contracted providers providing the quality input for these meetings
  • Support the contracts team to plan and diarise the sub-contracted providers meetings, producing a summary of discussions and action plans
  • Submit reports to Integrated Care Boards/Services as determined by our contractual responsibility e.g. quarterly quality reports
  • To support the service to achieve a good or higher rating for CQC/HIS/HIW regulatory inspections
  • In response to any external inspection findings, support the co-ordination of the formulation of action plans and support implementation of these through the appropriate department managers
  • Promote a culture of active benchmarking and seeking to achieve best practice in all aspects of our business and facilitate the provision of trend data
