We have an opportunity for a Registered Nursing Associate to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver holistic, compassionate care that supports patients' personal, physical, and emotional needs.
- Undertake clinical tasks such as vital signs monitoring, wound care, catheter care, nutrition and hydration support, and mobility assistance.
- Recognise and escalate changes in a patient’s condition to senior nursing staff in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Contribute to ongoing patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and care records in line with legal and professional standards.
- Participate in the safe discharge or transfer of patients, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- NMC-registered Nursing Associate.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Associate training programme.
- Understanding of person-centred care and the role of the Nursing Associate within the wider team.
- Excellent communication, clinical, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
- Experience in acute, surgical, outpatient, or community healthcare settings.
- Basic awareness of quality improvement, audit, or patient safety initiatives.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and care planning systems.
- Previous mentoring or supervision experience of junior staff or students.
