We have an opportunity for a Senior Network IT Engineer to join our team.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience of working in a professional, service-orientated IT team Shift/Rota management.
  • Significant (5+ years) experience within a medium/large organisation (~£500M+ annual revenue, 6,000+ end-users, 40+ different locations)
  • Significant (5+ years) experience in private and cloud Network technologies such as: LAN Switching, WAN/LAN Routing, SD-WAN, Cloud, L3 technologies, Firewalls, SASE, Load Balancing and traffic prioritising technologies, VPN and Remote Access Technologies, Network management platform technologies, WLAN, network capacity planning and management including detailed sub/supernetting.
  • Good (3+ years) experience of project implementation, network design and documentation including designing solutions derived from standards and templates.
  • Flexibility and contribution to out of hours working as required ad-hoc by the business.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business functions and resolve severity 1 issues.
  • Previous Private Healthcare experience desirable

Duties of this role include:

  • Experience within a project implementation role leading the IT network infrastructure elements of major projects and change programmes.
  • Assist with the successful transition of projects, new developments, and new applications.
  • Experience of implementing cloud-based networking.  Experience of supporting Cloudflare technologies
  • Monitor, maintain and ensure development of the IT network environments in accordance with agreed SLA’s.
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of IT networks infrastructure and services.
  • Ensure that the IT network infrastructure meets the security, and compliance standards and best practices.
  • Establish and maintain the IT network policies, procedures, and other relevant documentation.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative network technologies and solutions supporting the technology and business strategic objectives.
  • Own and maintain delivery of the established IT network infrastructure objectives.
