We are a busy private hospital with a growing paediatric service. We offer a full Interventional Paediatric Service seeing young people 0-18 years old in our Outpatient Departments including therapies. We provide Inpatient and Daycase facilities for surgery and interventional care in Outpatients for 3–18-year-olds and 16–17-year-olds on an adult pathway. 

We are recruiting for a Senior Bank Paediatric Physiotherapist to provide patient-centred and evidence-based assessments and treatment to a varied paediatric caseload of children. Our paediatric patients have varied needs including diagnoses of an orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, developmental, and neurological nature and may occasionally include standard respiratory care.

We are looking for a Senior Paediatric physiotherapist to join our team who has proven experience in the fields of orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions. We are also looking for a candidate that has experience of using standardised assessments and outcome measures in Paediatrics.  

Our department is open Monday to Friday and we are ideally looking for someone who could work 1 or 2 evenings per week until 8pm. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Chartered Physiotherapist with vast postgraduate general Physiotherapy experience and relevant experience in a more specialist area.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
  • Degree level educated, or equivalent.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.

Duties of this role include:

  • To manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard. Ensuring excellent patient care is promoted within the hospital
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for inpatients and outpatients.
  • To provide surgical pre-operative assessment for all patients working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To provide clinical direction for other physiotherapy staff within the team.
  • To provide excellent customer service and promote a professional and caring environment.
