SEO Content Writer

We have an opportunity for a SEO Content Writer to join our content team.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A degree or qualification in writing, English or another related field
- Experience in using CMS systems, (knowledge of Sitecore would be an advantage)
- A minimum of five years’ experience in writing online content
- Demonstrable success writing content that scores well for SEO
- Experience of writing high quality content to written briefs
- Experience or willingness to learn about writing clinical content
- Knowledge and skills in SEO
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Great attention to detail and a drive to create excellent content
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and proactive in approach to achieving targets
- Experience working within a healthcare or regulated-service provider preferred.
Duties of this role include:
- To create timely and high-quality copy, as required by the Senior Content and SEO Manager, and outlined in the content strategy.
- To create content that is highly optimised for on-page SEO, fit for purpose, in the company tone of voice, and to a high level of clinical accuracy.
- To help project manage the production process of content creation, from receipt of initial brief, through content kick off meeting, drafting, feedback, editing, and coordinating the addition online to set templates.
- To be an active member of a small but busy content team, driving traffic and growth for the business.
- Create high-quality, error-free content, including blog posts, case studies, marketing landing pages, newsletter text, and condition treatment pages (training will be provided)
- Alongside the Senior Content and SEO Manager identify content opportunities relating to keyword opportunities, upcoming events or marketing campaigns. Carry out any writing tasks as required
- Possess a good understanding of SEO and a willingness to learn/keep up to date with emerging trends and practices
- To conduct SEO research or understand the SEO requirements of a project/task, in order to optimise content for search engines. Experience using SEO tools such as Semrush and Brightedge and other industry standard tools is desirable
- Understand the importance of UX in content creation, ensuring that content is user friendly and accessible
