Sterile Services Technician
The Jubilee Court Decontamination Unit - Glasgow
37.5 hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £22,522.50 + Benefits (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in our Decontamination Unit based in Glasgow.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours across 7 days a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Previous Sterile service Knowledge preferable however not essential as training will be provided
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience preferred however not required as training will be provided
Broad knowledge of equipment cleaning, decontamination and sterilization procedures - Experience of working in a Sterile ServicesDecontamination facility
Duties of this role include:
- To provide a first-class decontamination service to operating departments, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments
- To assist in providing a first-class Endoscopy decontamination service to the operating departments, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments
- To assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment, Endoscopes and sundry items for the customer
- To maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
- To promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department
- To ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained in working areas.
- To ensure processes are followed as directed by the Senior Staff and in accordance with policies and procedures
- To drive on delivery and collections to and from hospitals if required
