Technical Architect - Azure and Security

We have an opportunity for a Technical Architect to join their team of staff in the Group IT department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
For this role we can offer hybrid working between home and our Head Office in London with beautiful views of St Paul's Cathedral.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or related fields, equivalent proven experience as a developer, architect, business analyst or similar discipline
- Software development experience in .Net technologies (C#), Java, SQL Server or Oracle
- Knowledge of Integration and message queueing technologies; IBM ACE, Azure Service Bus, MQTT
- Working knowledge of Technical Solution processes and associated techniques in line with CMMI (e.g.. waterfall, agile developments)
- Experience as a Solution Architect over one or more years
- Detailed understanding of development languages and processes
- Solid understanding of infrastructure, network and data topologies and terms; enough to take these factors into account when specifying solutions
- Experience working with a major cloud vendor, ideally Azure
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills exercised in a Technology (IT) environment between technical and business stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience of technologies and business processes of mid-sized or large corporations
- Proven ability to deliver solutions for programmes/projects balancing time, cost and quality.
- Change management
Duties of this role include:
- Successfully deliver projects as required by the wider Technology team and Circle Business
- Create clear & concise business and technical documentation
- Design, modify and test technical architecture, ensuring that proposals lie within strategic, performance and functional parameters
- Work with stakeholders in shaping the overall project portfolio to best meet business strategy whilst evolving the architecture towards the target
- Create and evolve principles, patterns, best practice and other artefacts to assist in design and decision making
- Ensure architectural standards are met in conjunction with the Enterprise Architect and Integration Architect. (ATAM and TOGAF, UML, Archimate)
- Use well understood and standardised modes of documentation appropriate to audiences both business and technical
- Understand how software and infrastructure sits in context and take both into account to ensure that project deliveries are performant
