Ultrasonographer

Full Time – Permanent

We have an opportunity for a Ultrasonographer to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a Full  time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Current HCPC Registration
  • Minimum 2 years Ultrasound experience within the NHS
  • Experience in performing/reporting the following sonographic examinations: Abdominal, Renal, Gynaecology, (Transvaginal, Transabdominal)
  • Qualified Sonographer with at least 5 years experience, in Gyne, abdominal, general,
  • We operate a busy but relaxed department and need a person who can think on their feet and be able to take charge of their clinic

Duties of this role include:

  • To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high quality ultrasound service to all patients
  • To carry out diagnostic ultrasound scans within their scope of competence as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards.
  • Manage the designated working area and ensure that it is tidy, clean and efficiently run.
  • Use initiative to prioritise, deliver and time-manage workload effectively.
  • As requested, assist clinical modality leads to plan and maintain an effective work flow within the department.
