Advanced Practice Physiotherapist

37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £66,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapist department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with complex presentations, including advanced clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating advanced therapeutic techniques and, where appropriate, requesting and interpreting diagnostic imaging.
- Act as a clinical lead and role model within the physiotherapy team, supporting best practice and professional standards.
- Contribute to the strategic development and delivery of advanced physiotherapy services, including pathway redesign and integration.
- Work closely with consultants, GPs, advanced practitioners, and other AHPs to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
- Participate in case conferences, MDT meetings, and referral discussions as a senior clinical voice.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
- At least 5 years in MSK setting
- Postgraduate training relevant to advanced practice (e.g. MSc, PGCert, or equivalent).
- Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience requesting diagnostics required
- IRMER trained
- Previous experience referring on for Orthopaedic surgery or surgical opinion.
- Ability to provide training to advanced physiotherapists and physiotherapists.
- Undergoing level 7 studies in relevant area
- Injection therapy would be an advantage
- Independent prescribing is optional but beneficial
- Diagnostic U/S is beneficial but optional.
