Clinical Governance and Improvement Coordinator
Head Office/Hybrid
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £30,000.00 per annum
We have an opportunity for a Clinical Governance and Improvement Coordinator to join our team of staff.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Educated to degree level ‘or equivalent level of education or training’ in a relevant subject
- Knowledge of Clinical Audit
- Ability to write professional reports to a high standard which require consolidating complex information from a variety of sources and achieving a consensus
- Proficient skills in excel and word/PowerPoint.
Duties of this role include:
- Manage information required for the Patient Safety Incident Review Group, including taking minutes of the meetings
- Undertake minutes for Clinical Governance Committee, Learning from Deaths and as requested at other governance committees.
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to systems and processes following the identification of significant incidents, including monitoring of the progress of investigations, reporting, and learning from clinical incidents, including Near Misses, incidents resulting in harm (moderate and severe incidents),death and Never Events.
- Be responsible for the safety alerts system and process for CHG
- Co-ordinate, develop and produce reports, including but not limited to the Clinical Governance Report
- In conjunction with the local site Quality and Risk Leads develop and produce risk reports for Service Lines, which enable analysis of trends and themes in patient, and other safety issues, and support the process of developing mitigating actions to improve quality of services delivered.
- To assist with the safety and quality and safety improvement programme and provide reliable and meaningful data and inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support in the co-ordination, of the peer review programme.
- Support in the co-ordination of managing stage 2 and 3 complaints to ensure that these managed within the policy timeframes
- Support in the collation of patient experience data
- Support the Clinical Governance and Improvement team
