Salary: Up to £39,806.59 FTE

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead Nurse to join their team of staff in the Outpatients Nursing department.

The post holder will be the lead within the Health Screening Team and oversee a small team. Included in the department is a private GP Service which involves working closely with Consultants and the larger multi-disciplinary team. Together, with their team the post holder will continually strive to deliver high quality patient care at all times.

This is a growing department and as such the post holder will have the exciting opportunity to develop the service and implement new ideas alongside their team. 

This is a part time role for 22 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Bath Clinic has undergone an exciting transformation with brand-new theatre facilities installed in 2023 and upgraded patient-facing areas. It is an excellent time to join our hospital and be at the forefront of it’s exciting new chapter in delivering first class care to the local community.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
  • Recruitment and selection skills.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • Health Screening Experience (Desirable)
  • Leadership experience in a Senior/Deputy or Lead role

Duties of this role include:

  • The purpose of the Clinical Lead role is to clinically support the department to promote and ensure excellent patient care,
  • The Clinical Lead takes responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services (DOCS) or Clinical Services Manager(CSM).
  • Responsible for the deployment, supervision and mentoring of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
  • To maintain written records and legal documents to required levels and accepted practice.
  • Maintenance of professional, cost-effective service including financial management and business planning
  • To carry out all levels of health assessments including but not limited to: Anthropometric measurements Bodyfat Measurements using (Bodystat Machine), ECG recording, Lung function testing, blood pressure, phlebotomy, Lifestyle counselling,
  • Influence and develop new services and improve our CQC and Audit ratings.
