Commercial Finance Analyst

We have an opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team of staff.

This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• You deliver timely and accurate information to enable the production of group management reporting, identifying trends and exceptions.
• You provide support for month end deadlines and quarter end completeness, specifically around hospital accruals and prepayments.
• You support with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts across all Circle hospitals.
• You review hospitals P&L for accuracy and completeness.
• You maintain Circle financial Fixed Asset Registers ensuring the registers are reconciled monthly.
• You assist with the hospitals annual fixed asset verification exercise.
• You support with the production of the Quarterly Group VAT returns.
• You produce KPI dashboards and data as required.
• You provide support to the CBS Finance Manager in the delivery of finance reporting requirements as necessary.
• You assist with the delivery of budgets and forecasts for hospitals.
• You support change and the review of finance processes to improve overall efficiency & effectiveness.
• You provide advice to stakeholders on finance policy and processes.
• You ensure compliance with statutory and group obligations.
• You provide ad hoc analysis and provision of financial advice and reporting, to support decision-making and monitoring of financial performance.
• You provide support where required for all CBS CFA responsibilities.
• You attend Finance meetings as required by the business.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Experience of working in a similar finance role
• Experience and proven ability of working to set deadlines
• Experience of multi-site or otherwise distributed working environments
• Able to build good interpersonal relationships across a range of stakeholders both internal and external
• Demonstrated ability to quickly appraise complex situations and to identify key issues.
• Strong technology skills, including computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office.
• AAT Qualified or studying towards a professional qualification would be advantageous (CIMA/ACCA)
