We have an opportunity for a Dietician to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Undertake nutritional assessments and develop individualised care plans for patients with complex clinical needs.
- Provide evidence-based dietary advice to patients with acute and chronic conditions (e.g. gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, oncology, malnutrition).
- Work closely with consultants, nurses, speech and language therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on diet, nutrition, and lifestyle changes to support health and recovery.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with professional and legal standards.
- Maintain professional registration with the HCPC and adhere to the BDA Code of Conduct.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- BSc (Hons) in Dietetics or equivalent HCPC-approved qualification.
- HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
- Experience in a range of clinical areas (e.g. surgical, medical, oncology, gastroenterology).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
