Salary: Up to £50,000.00 FTE per year

We have an opportunity for a Dietician to join their team of staff.

This is a part-time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern across two sites, Circle Rehabilitation covering patients on acute brain injury pathway and covering patients from a surgical and oncology perspective at The Priory Hospital.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • 2 year post graduate experience
  • Post registration experience relevant to nutrition and dietetics
  • Supervision of assistants and / or students.
  • Previous experience working within the acute healthcare sector.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
  • BSc Dietetics or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian Member of the Health & Care Professions Council
  • Documented Evidence of Continual Professional Development (CPD)
  • Evidence of clinical assessment
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • IT GCSE at grade A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.

Duties of this role include:

  • Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
  • Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
  • Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
  • Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
  • Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
  • Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
  • To manage a caseload of people who have complex needs within the in-patient setting using evidence-based, person centred principles to assess, plan and evaluate specialist dietetic interventions.
  • To provide the dietetic input within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Working in liaison with the catering providers to ensure that the menus provided offer a balanced diet and supplementary diet were required and the menus reflect the choices of the people accessing services.
