The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Hotel Services Lead to join their team of staff in the Hotel Services department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Manage and support the Portering and Housekeeping teams to ensure timely and professional delivery of services across all areas of the hospital.
- Oversee core portering duties, including patient and goods movement, site security, and gas management, where applicable.
- Ensure all housekeeping services, including room and theatre cleaning, laundry handling, and room setup, meet policy and infection prevention standards.
- Carry out cleaning audits and ensure corrective actions are followed through effectively.
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, visitors, and consultants, managing feedback on hospitality services and ensuring satisfaction.
- Ensure staff compliance with all mandatory training and that service delivery adheres to hospital policies and health & safety regulations.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience managing operational teams within hospitality or healthcare environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A basic understanding of MS Excel and administrative processes.
- A hospitality or facilities services qualification (desirable).
- An understanding of cleanliness and infection control standards in a clinical or hotel setting.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
