We have an opportunity for a Lead Cardiac Physiologist to join their team of staff. 

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience working within the acute healthcare sector.
  • Degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
  • Device Qualification.
  • Must be qualified and experienced in performing echocardiograms independently and able to perform pacing / PPM checks
  • Experienced in cardiac procedures eg: bubble echo, stress echo, drug induced echo, and stress echo with contract.

Duties of this role include:

  • You work alongside and support the departmental team leaders & Clinical Services Manager - Cardiology in providing high quality healthcare and technical expertise. • You work in

    accordance with the standards set by the Society for Cardiological Science & Technology, the British Cardiac Society and the company.

  • You provide efficient and effective cardiology in the inpatient, day case and outpatient setting.

  • You lead the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community, demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.

  • You plan and perform, with guidance, a wide range of Cardiac Catheter lab procedures to a high level of competence, these include coronary angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker and ICD implantation and electrophysiology, when trained to do so.

    • You plan, perform and interpret, with guidance, a range of investigations to a high level of competence for all other Cardiology investigations, including ECG, Holter monitoring, BP monitoring, exercise testing etc.

  • You comply with all relevant mandatory training.
