37.5 Hours & 12 Month Fixed Term

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern, this is a fixed term cover for maternity leave, with a maximum duration of 12 months.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Qualifications and Previous Experience

  • Evidence of good standard of general education
  • Previous experience of operational management of teams, including experience in the healthcare sector
  • Experience of delivering high performing operations
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a patient/customer service environment
  • Demonstrable experience of handling complaints and dealing with difficult patients/customers
  • Extensive supervisory and line management experience
  • Previous use of SystmOne or similar Patient Administration Software
  • Experience of Stakeholder management, including representation of

Operational services within CCG forums

  • University level education
  • Helpdesk/ Customer Service/ Call centre experience
  • Oversight of operations supporting multiple clinical specialities

Duties of this role include:

  • To be responsible (through deputies) for the effective delivery of the CIC Operation including meeting all KPIs and contractual requirements.
  • To oversee the Operations team, including direct management responsibility for designated staff. Direct reports includee Pathway Manager, Customer Services Manager, Patient Administration Manager and Scheduling Manager.
  • Support the Head of Operations and Clinical Leads in the operation and efficient and effective management of the service, supporting continuous improvement and development for growth.
  • To provide operational leadership, expertise and support to the hubs to ensure they deliver excellent patient care in line with the identified metrics in the Quality Quartets.
  • To develop and implement operational policies, procedures and processes which support excellent patient care pathways, and ensure these are adhered to.
  • Take the lead in ensuring the sustained delivery of operational targets by supporting capacity and business planning.
  • Facilitate the involvement of clinicians and the public, to ensure patients have better access to services according to need.
