Pharmacy Assistant

Salary: Up to £25,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department.
This is a Part time role for 20 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
- Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
- Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
- Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
- Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional and helpful manner.
- Support accurate and safe working practices in accordance with organisational and GPhC standards.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock-handling role.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
