Quality and Risk Manager

Salary: Up to £41,800.00 per year
(depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Beaumont Hospital in Bolton Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. 

We have an opportunity for a Quality and Risk Manager to join their team of staff in the Quality Assurance department.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Lead and co-ordinate the hospital’s clinical governance and quality assurance programmes to ensure safe and high-quality patient care.
  • Review and analyse quality, safety, and governance data, using CHG systems to identify trends, support decision-making, and deliver improvement actions.
  • Prepare the hospital for CQC/HIS/HIW inspections, working proactively with department leads to ensure evidence of compliance is in place.
  • Manage the local complaints process, ensuring that all complaints are investigated and closed within policy timeframes, with a focus on learning and resolution.
  • Promote and embed a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout the hospital.
  • Ensure robust data collection systems are in place to monitor compliance with national policies and internal standards.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of clinical governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience in complaints and incident management, including root cause analysis and structured investigation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CQC/HIS/HIW requirements and experience supporting inspection readiness and follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to present, lead groups, deliver training, and facilitate change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Qualifications in a health-related discipline.
