We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing. Or
  • Registered Nurse Level 2  - Relevant Competencies for the role.
  • Surgical oncology experience i.e. post-operative care
  • Willingness to develop or already hold:
  • Breast care course / module
  • Lymphodema management course
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Teaching experience
  • Audit experience
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking skills required.
  • Understanding on workload and shift management.
  • Patient and caring approach to customer care

Duties of this role include:

  • Required to work closely with both Medical and Surgical Oncologists
  • Prepare and maintain clinical records of patient care, with reference to Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for records and record keeping.
  • Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
