We have an opportunity for a HR Assistant to join their team of staff in the Human Resources department based in Hillington – Glasgow, however this will primarily be home based. 

This is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week. This is for a fixed term period of 12 months. 

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to present solutions
  • Excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills
  • Educated to standard grade level or equivalent
  • Excellent IT skills working with MS Office
  • Previous administration experience within a busy administrative/office environment.

Duties of this role include:

  • Working as an integral part of the HR Service Team, providing efficient high-quality, customer focused HR administration services to several business functions across the business in conjunction with the Recruitment administration function.
  • Reporting to the HR Assistant Team Leader, this role will be responsible for ensuring all HR administration is dealt with in a correct and timely manner, whilst providing first line HR support to HR colleagues, staff and managers.
  • This role will focus on all aspects of transactional HR administration, including inputting of monthly payroll data, T&C change letters, pre-employment checking & on-boarding and contract generation, report running, and supporting the wider HR Team.
  • To ensure all HR compliance is managed appropriately and timely and non-compliance is escalated immediately.
  • To act as first point of contact for any staff queries relating to maternity leave, sickness absence, annual leave calculations, grievances etc
  • Supporting HR Business Partners with data and documents collation for the purposes of change management programmes such as TUPE transfers & Restructures as well as Investigations & Employment Tribunals.
  • To support the Team Leader and Head of People – Operations & Resourcing in the delivery of a high quality, customer focused HR service.
  • To assist in the provision of comprehensive, accurate, timely and high-quality advice and service to the business in the areas of:
    • HR systems
    • Payroll and benefits administration
    • Pre-employment checks and offer generation
    • Leaver management including exit interviews
    • Data monitoring and reporting
    • Compliance
