We have an opportunity for a Tax Manager to join their team of staff in the Finance department in our Head Office in London.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.  The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Two to five years post qualification tax experience in a relevant role (in Industry or in Practice). 
  • Degree educated, qualified accountant (ACA) or tax qualified (CTA) 
  • Strong tax accounting expertise (IFRS, FRS101 and preferably US GAAP).
  • Excellent tax return software skills.  Knowledge of One Source® would be highly preferable.
  • Good Excel and Word skills. 

Duties of this role include:

  • The role of the tax function is to undertake all aspects of corporate tax compliance for the group, to provide tax reporting and analysis to support the financial reporting team, to provide reporting and analysis to the shareholders, and to prepare tax forecasts as part of the regular group forecasting processes.
  • To ensure success in the role, the right candidate will have strong tax and accounting skills.  They will need to be highly numerate, with attention to detail being imperative.  The candidate should be a proactive self-starter, be highly motivated and well organised.  An ability to communicate complex matters to non-tax professional is essential in this role.
  • This is a new role being created to support increased demands on the tax function of the group with increased reporting and forecasting requirements, in particular from the shareholders.
  • It is anticipated that new tax reporting and forecasting software will be implemented in the near future and this role would play a key part in this transition.
