Rehabilitation Assistant
Circle Integrated Care - South and West Hertfordshire
37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 + benefits (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the team of staff.
This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of an NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or Equivalent Qualification
- Can communicate both routine and complex/sensitive information to Service Users, clients, relatives and staff and other stakeholders.
- Able to feedback and engage in decision making when appropriate
- Possess basic computer skills
- Demonstrate organisational and time management skills
- Manage own time effectively, ensuring all delegated tasks carried out in a timely manner
- Experience of working in a health and social care setting
- Evidence of relevant training/CPD.
- Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team or within the fitness industry.
- Level 2/3 gym/instructor/personal trainer or equivalent.
- Level 3 exercise referral or a level 4 qualification.
Duties of this role include:
- To run and develop the ESCAPE pain programme and other rehab groups for Circle Integrated Care in Greenwich.
- Liaise with physiotherapist, the patient and carers as appropriate
- To develop a basic understanding of a broad range of orthopaedic and musculo-skeletal conditions
- The post holder will be expected to have a basic understanding of exercise principals
- To have an understanding of the theories of exercise prescription and progression.
- To undertake and maintain stock levels and ordering of equipment
- Make accurate written records of work undertaken with patients.
- Assist the physiotherapist in the rehabilitation of patients using a range of delegated exercises within own level of competency as overseen by physiotherapist
- To accompany the physiotherapist or work single-handed.
- Prioritise own workload as delegated by physiotherapist.
- Undertake own CPD, including mandatory training and maintain up to date knowledge of clinical speciality through research and training.
